How much does therapy cost and is it covered?

My hourly rate is $130/hour and this is often covered under extended health benefits as I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College. I do not direct bill insurance companies - after our session I will send an invoice, and when payment is received, you will receive a receipt with my registration number on it for submitting to your benefits.

Do you have a sliding fee scale?

If financial constraints are keeping you from accessing the help you need, please contact me. I do see a number of clients on a sliding scale depending on their situations. I am passionate about providing accessible services to those who need it most.

How frequently/often are sessions?

This is completely up to you! While I will provide recommendations on how often we meet, ultimately this is up to you and this needs to work for your life. Some people see me for a handful of sessions, others see me regularly long term. It’s all about meeting your goals and getting your needs met, and you’re in the drivers seat.

What if me or my child is sick, or my childcare falls through?

As a mom of three small children, I understand how often life throws curve balls - especially when we have scheduled appointments! As a result, I am extremely flexible with my cancellation policy and unless it becomes a pattern, I do not charge for late cancellations due to illness, lack of childcare, or bad nights with new babies. Babies are also welcome to join sessions if that makes life easier for you!
